My husband calls this "Subway" bread -- love it:)
Last time, after I rolled out the dough, I layered it with mozzarella cheese and salami, rolled it up tight, and baked it -- yummy!!!

This post is giving me a good reason to get my fire-engine red Kitchen Aid mixer out and try this recipe out. The question is whether my cooking skills are up to it?

Just wanted you to know that I just arrived at my 85 year old fathers house from the airport and smelled hot bread.

My mother always bakes bread so this is not uncommon.

He told me when asked that HE made it. Yup. He googled crusty bread, found your "badass" recipes (he was embarrased when I pointed that word out, as he had not noticed!) and followed your instructions, and just baked it in a glass pyrex, and man it is fantastic.

Thanks for letting him be a hero!
